Hello and welcome to my blog! 😁 If you ended up here by chance… well, I hope I manage to pique your curiosity!
First of all, I must introduce myself: my name is Luca Di Vita and I am a curious person, always in search of something new to learn. I love studying 📏, sports 🏋️, and reading 📖 — three passions that, in various ways, have always accompanied me and push me every day to discover something new.
As a computer engineer 💻, I focus on Machine Learning and Python Backend development—disciplines that, alongside evolutionary computation, inspire me immensely and which I continue to nurture with great interest.
Besides work and personal passions, for a few years now I’ve also had the fortune of being actively involved in the community world, which has given me, and continues to give me, so much.
I am an organizer of GDG Pescara and co-founder of Python Pescara: two groups aimed at creating opportunities for meeting, learning, and exchanging ideas among enthusiasts and professionals in the field.
I truly believe in the value of communities and think that sharing knowledge, experiences, and even simple chats — perhaps over a beer 🍻 — is one of the best ways to grow, both professionally and personally.
For some years now, I have been giving technical talks at Italian community events — such as DevFest, PyBeer, Codemotion, and others — speaking about topics that pique my interest, that I’m passionate about... sometimes just for the pleasure of sharing something I’ve recently discovered. Some time ago, during a post-event beer at PyBeer by Python Pescara, a community colleague asked me if I had ever thought about sharing the topics I address in my talks in written form, perhaps in a blog 💬. Although I had never seriously considered it, that conversation left a little nagging idea in my head… and here I am, your honor 👨🏻⚖️.
If you’d like, feel free to get in touch, check out the talks I’ve given (you’ll find them on my Sessionize profile), or browse through the latest articles I’ve published, or explore my full archive. I hope that what you’ll find here manages — even just a little — to spark your interest or keep you company for a while.
For now, I send you a big hello, and thanks for coming this far!
Luca
